First Wave, Second Wave (English)

First Wave, Second Wave

Because of the Covid-19, the word 'Wave' has become very popular, either in cities or villages. We always heard about the first wave and second, we may hear even the third wave also.

There are people who understand it, there are some who don't understand it, what does it mean wave.

Wave in English dictionary has many meanings, but one of those meanings says this: A wave is a raised mass of water on the surface of water, especially the sea, which is caused by the wind or by tides making the surface of the water rise and fall.

We heard the news about this Coronavirus or Covid-19, and the people said that now we have faced the second wave of this virus, and they predicted that India may face the third also. That is what the people say. They have warned people to be aware and take care of themselves and so on (yes we have to take care ourselves, but above all we have to strengthen our faith in God because only God can give us the best protection ever, as the Psalmist says, "Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain." Psalms 127:1 NKJV

But what I want to talk about now is not about the wave of the virus (Covid-19) but I want to turn your mind to spiritual things, and what I want to talk about is 'the wave of the Holy Spirit'. When we look at the world we see that the world has developed very much, in every area. They have experienced the wave in many different ways. The question is, how many of us as Christians have experienced the wave of the Holy Spirit? If we have experienced once, will we be satisfied only by that first experience? Or do we still want the second wave and the third wave and so on?

Dear friend, the world and Satan have worked very swiftly, if we are not awake, the wave of this virus will overshadow our Christian life. Even now, all of us are hiding out of fear in the cave (lockdown), if we are not filled with the Holy Spirit we will die spiritually. It's high time to wake up and come to the Lord and pray, "Lord, I need the fresh moves of the Holy Spirit, I need the second wave, third wave of your Spirit in my life". Only the power of the Holy Spirit can sustain us to stand in these last days. Without the Holy Spirit we will be tossed in the wave of the virus, in the wave of the world and Satan.

Apostle Paul says, And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 NKJV

The world is in chaos, trouble and despair, we need to be filled with the Spirit of God.

Let us prepare our hearts to receive the Holy Spirit and let the Holy Spirit move like in the day of Pentecost. Let the wave of the Holy Spirit wash away all the fear, grief, sorrows, sicknesses, trouble and all the power of the devil.

Let us once again come before the Lord with a repented heart and say, Lord I need your Spirit more than anything else in my life, I have fetched up with this virus, I need the wave of your Spirit.

If we truly hunger and thirst, we will be filled, says the word of God.

John 7:37-39, On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

Isaiah 44:3, For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring.

May the Lord bless you and fill you with his Spirit. Amen
